I was able to witness Makati City’s annual Caracol Festival which was held on Feb. 26, 2012 at the corner of Ayala Avenue and Makati Avenue. The Caracol Festival aims to raise awareness on the preservation of cultural heritage and conservation of the environment and natural resources. Hundreds of students (elementary, high school and college levels) and residents of Makati City participated in this lively and colorful event. The students competed in a dance showdown after the fun filled parade. I only learned about the festival the day before the event itself. I was supposed to attend the festival with 2 companions but both could not make it so I went alone. I had so much fun photographing the participants who were all willing to smile and pose for the camera. Some would even request that I take photos of them. Such warm and happy people!
