3 cups flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsps vanilla
1 cup butter
food color and sprinkles for decorating
2 cups powdered sugar
2 tbsps water or milk
1 tsp almond extract
Sift flour, salt and baking powder. Set aside
Soften butter at room temperature then combine with the sugar and beat together.
Beat in egg and vanilla.
Gradually add flour, baking powder and salt
Chill for 1-2 hours to firm up for easy handling.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/4″ thickness
Dip cookie cutter into flour before cutting out cookies
Bake for 10 minutes or until edges are just barely golden brown
combine ingredients for glaze icing
mix until smooth
separate into different bowls and add food coloring
